The Pour
After mixing the resin, it’s immediately time to pour. Everyone has their own method, I’m sure, but this is a sneak peek into how I make it happen.
The Reveal
Once the resin has been spread, hot gunned for bubbles, inspected for lint/fuzzies, there is nothing else to do but wait. I cover mine so that the things floating in the air (there’s more than you think) don’t land in my resin. Once it’s covered, I DO NOT TOUCH it again for 24hrs. (I’ve learned the “do not touch” lesson. Multiple times. Sigh..) What you’re seeing here is the first reveal. Did it set properly? Was it level? So nerve-racking!
Camera Shy
Resins like to play hard to get. It’s just about impossible (for me) to truly capture them in a photograph. The light, the shadows, the reflections - or you can’t tell is has resin on it! It’s best to see them in-person but in lieu of that a video works pretty well. This was my 2023 mini resin bullseye collection.
My resin companions!
Waiting for her second coat of resin.
Now she's just showing off! ;)
